Common questions

My steps show 0

Open your phone's health app (Apple Health / Health Connect) and check it has step data for today, and that StepMates has read permission for Steps (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → StepMates. Android: Health Connect → App permissions).

My partner can't join

Codes are 6 characters and case-insensitive. A couple holds exactly two people — if one of you left, create a fresh couple and share the new code.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete my account & data. Details: account deletion.

Is my data private?

Yes — only you and your partner can see your steps. No ads, no selling, EU storage. See the Privacy Policy.
