Delete your account & data

StepMates lets you delete your account and all of your data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. In the app (instant)

Open StepMates → Settings → Delete my account & data → confirm. This immediately and permanently removes:

• your profile and display name,
• your step history,
• your couple/group membership and the pairing,
• your nudges and any profile photo,
• and your anonymous account itself.

Because couple data is shared, deleting your account also dissolves the couple and deletes the shared records (forfeits, nudges, the pairing). Your partner's own account and their step history remain theirs.

2. By email

If you can't open the app, email ibrahim@shsoftwaresol.com from the request and we will delete your data within 30 days. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask you to send the request from inside the app, or to provide your invite code / account ID, so we can locate the right data.

What's kept, briefly

Automated backups held by our processor are rotated and expire within about 30 days. We never sell or share your data. For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
